Annual Exams

A Complete Check-Up

For Complete Health

An annual dental exam is essential to your oral health as well as your overall heath. Recent studies have linked poor oral health with an increased risk in a variety of health problems, including stroke, heart attack and certain cancers.

With our advanced technology, we can detect problems earlier than ever before possible, helping you to maintain your health from head to toe!

Digital X-Rays

As part of your regular exam, we take a series of digital x-rays as recommended for your particular situation. These x-rays are larger, clearer and more detailed than traditional film x-rays, allowing us to get a better picture of your oral health almost immediately. (They don't need time to "develop.") They are also safer for you, offering a significant decrease in your exposure to radiation. They're also safer for the environment. Digital x-rays don't need chemicals or paper to be developed, so there's no waste to dispose of.

Intra-Oral Camera

We also use an intra-oral camera. This pen-sized camera takes video of your teeth, and then projects the live, magnified image onto a computer screen in the treatment room. This gives us a real-time, close-up look at your teeth, helping us to spot any decay, cracked or leaking fillings or other problems. This technology also helps us diagnose problems early, while they're small, and easier and more affordable to correct.

DIAGNOdent

This remarkable tool is a hand-held laser that quickly and comfortably detects small cavities.  So sensitive, it can detect decay earlier than more conventional methods, such as radiography. In fact, it can find 50 percent of the decay that goes undetected by traditional dental X-rays without exposing you to radiation. We find it indispensable in the prevention of dental problems and the promotion of good oral health.

Computerized Treatment Rooms

To provide all this technology to you, all of our  treatment rooms are fully computerized. We have all your records and treatment plans on computers, as well as test results, images, etc. The computer helps maintain continuity and quality of care.
