Keeping Your Gums Healthy and Strong
The health of your gums is just as important, if not more important, than the health of your teeth. Gum disease can lead to tooth loss, abscesses, infections and more serious conditions
During your exam, we will measure the gum tissue around each tooth to assess any periodontal deterioration. We will then clean above and below the gum line with one of our ultrasonic scalers.

Our practice uses the Cavitron and the Piezo for advanced hygiene treatment.
These two hand-held tools offer safe, effective and painless alternatives to traditional gum cleaning methods. They both use high frequency ultrasonic waves and water to gently clean above and below the gum line. So gentle, they can both administer deep cleaning and gum therapy, many times without the need for anesthetic.
If periodontal disease is diagnosed, a variety of treatment options are available to treat the disease, and even reverse it.
