Smile Analysis -- The purpose of a Smile Analysis is to determine the most attractive smile that is uniquely yours. The color, shape, and position of your teeth are analyzed. Comprehensive Care -- The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends comprehensive oral exams for all patients that are newto a practice and for established patients every three years. A comprehensive exam lays the foundation for a routine (periodic) exam and is much more than a cleaning. It evaluates all aspects of oral health and allows a comprehensive treatment plan for your best oral health to be derived.

The ADA defines a comprehensive oral exam as an extensive evaluation and the recording of all extraoral, intraoral and soft tissues.

• Periodontal (gum) exam
• Jaw Joint (TMJ) and bite evaluation
• Complete tooth by tooth evaluation
• Cosmetic evaluation

TMJ Treatment – the TMJ or Temporo Mandibular Joint is located directly in front of your ears and moves your jaw. If you are having a TMJ problem , your symptoms might include frequent headaches, sore jaw muscles, and temple or cheek pain. To alleviate these symptoms, your bite requires realignment. Splint therapy is our treatment. A splint delivers a physiologically correct bite. When the splint is placed over the upper teeth it instantly provides a bite where the muscles, joint and teeth do not antagonize each other, instead they work in harmony with each other as they should.

Screening involves taking six measurements per tooth of pocket depths and recording these pocket depths. In this exam mobility of teeth are checked; bone loss is measured; calculus, swelling and recession are recorded to determine the health of your gums.
